DAY 1 WELCOME TO ZIMBABWE
The Land Rover team will meet you from your morning arrival flight into Victoria Falls airport in Zimbabwe and transfer you to the hotel, near Victoria Falls, to check-in. That afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a walk to the majestic Victoria Falls. This spectacular, and one of the world’s largest, waterfall is surrounded by paradisiac beautiful nature – tropical rainforest and great wildlife.
DAY 2 KASANE
We leave Victoria Falls by shuttle bus and head west to Kasane, crossing the border to Botswana. Kasane is a small town sandwiched between the Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibian borders and the Chobe National Park. Once you’ve checked-in at our lodge for the night, you’ll have a full introduction to the Land Rover Defender vehicles. Then, we’ll depart for an amazing sunset boat cruise on the Chobe River.
DAY 3 CHOBE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, we head south for the Chobe National Park. Tonight we camp in the wilds of Africa. The area is very well known for its lions and elephants in the camp and extra care should be taken when walking around the camp. After a typical African cuisine dinner, we’ll have a talk from our local guide and hear some of their stories.
DAY 4 KHWAI REGION
From Savute, the road will take us along the Magikwe sand ridge until we reach Mababe gate. After an enjoyable drive, we’ll reach the Khwai Concession area and our base location for the next two nights at a beautiful small lodge with tented accommodation. It is located just outside the northern entrance of the Moremi Reserve, which lies on the eastern side of the Okavango Delta.
DAY 5 KHWAI REGION
Another day in the Khwai region where you’ll have plenty of time to explore the majestic flora and fauna. In the north of the park, you’ll find the dry areas of Savute. In the south, the lush vegetation of the Khwai region with numerous deep waterholes. The camp offers numerous water or land based activities. Alternatively, you can relax and have a break in your idyllic tented accommodation.
DAY 6 MOREMI GAME RESERVE
We’ll depart early and head for the Moremi Game Reserve, driving through the Xakanaka area, for a full day’s safari drive. Today you’ll have time to explore the park with its abundance of flora and fauna, along with countless animals, including elephants, buffalos, giraffes, lions, crocodiles and hippos. We’ll spend the night at a campsite outside of the park and finish the day with your guides cooking you an amazing bush dinner.
DAY 7 MOREMI GAME RESERVE – MAUN
Before we leave the Moremi Game Reserve today, you’ll have plenty more time to explore the majestic flora and fauna. We’ll drive over sand tracks and, depending upon the water level in the delta, also through fords. We then pass the south gate and drive gravel roads towards Maun, the “tourism capital” of Botswana. We spend our last evening together celebrating with a farewell dinner and overnight stay at a lodge.
DAY 8 MAUN – DEPARTURE
After breakfast, the Land Rover team will transfer you to the airport.
