Set on the banks of the beautiful Thamalakane River in northern Botswana, Maun is the third-largest town in this spectacularly scenic southern African country. Maun is the starting point for most expeditions into the Okavango Delta and as a result, has developed into a bustling metropolis that is considered Botswana’s tourism capital. Area attractions include a renowned riverboat that offers cruises up and down the Thamalakane River; the forest groves of the Maun Game Reserve; and Moremi Game Reserve, home to hippos, lions and rhinos. Thamalakane River Lodge is ideally located an easy 20-minute drive from Maun Airport en route to the famous Moremi Game Reserve. It is a secluded haven of tranquility nestled in a grove of mature riverine trees on the bank of the Thamalakane River. The rambling lodge has an idyllic setting and is committed to service excellence.

Character en-suite stone chalets, are positioned in the shade of the riverine forest, overlooking the river. All chalets and common areas have terraces that take advantage of the serene 180 degree view of the riverbanks lined with fluttering reeds visited by an ever changing array of water fowl and birds.

Moremi Game Reserve

The diverse ecosystem supports an incredibly wide spectrum of wildlife, ranging from large herds of buffalo, wildebeest and zebra, to the rare sitatunga and lechwe antelope, lion, cheetah and packs of wild dog in the open grasslands. The birdlife is prolific and includes most of the 550 bird species recorded on Botswana’s national bird list. Mababe is a small rural settlement located in the eastern part of Botswana’s North-West District, set on the vast, wild plains of the Mababe Lower Depression. Jaw-dropping vistas of yellow bushveld, sparkling rivers, and bright green forests attract nature photographers and plant enthusiasts, as well as hikers. Nogatsaa – Chobe National Park

Situated in the northeastern part of Botswana among a massive territory of national parks, reserves and conservation areas, the Nogatsaa area inside Chobe National Park boasts stunning wild scenery and an array of animals. Nogatsaa Pans Chobe Lodge is an eco-conscious, solar powered lodge and blends into its natural environment. Overlooking the Kwikamba Pan, the largest fresh water pan in the area. Victoria Falls Zimbabwe

Victoria Falls is one of the world’s most impressive waterfalls. It is set on the magnificent Zambezi River which creates the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Onguma Bush Camp is ideal for families who would like to have a base from which they can explore Etosha National Park. Upon your return, relax and cool off around the swimming pool while watching a spectacular sunset… and the children can run around on the lawns as this is an enclosed camp.

Dinner is served in the dinning area overlooking a large waterhole. Here you will be treated to an excellent combination of European and traditional African cuisine while watching the game coming to drink.

Located just south of the boundary of Etosha National Park in northwestern Namibia, Etosha South makes up the southern region of this wild paradise. The area is comprised of a collection of world class private game reserves. The national park can be accessed via the southern entrance at Andersson’s Gate. The lodge’s hallmarks are luxury and plenty of privacy. This remarkable place is superbly suited for safari excursions into Etosha. The main building is surrounded by large, ancient mopane trees in a wild, but park-like setting. Upon entering the lobby with the bar and spacious seating areas, the eye is drawn through the open building to the vast savannah, where often enough the first animals can be spotted right then. The large infinity pool also offers fantastic views of the open plain in front of the lodge and the two waterholes. The best spot to enjoy the sunset with a drink of your choice. After that we will treat you to a delicious 5-course dinner in our restaurant.

Our spacious chalets have been integrated into nature with loving care. They are placed so far apart and aligned so cleverly, that there is no sign of a neighbor. As a result, the rooms offer a high degree of privacy and unobstructed views of the savannah. Twyvelfontein

Set in the Kunene Region of northwestern Namibia, Twyfelfontein is a spectacularly scenic area, featuring one of the largest and most important concentrations of rock art in Africa. The name ‘Twyfelfontein’ translates to ‘Fountain of Doubt’, which refers to the perennial spring situated in the impressive Huab Valley flanked by the slopes of a sandstone table mountain. Spreading across Botswana, South Africa and Namibia, the Kalahari meaning ‘the great thirst’ is an exceptionally beautiful living desert. The landscape is characterised by a large semi-arid sandy savannah draped over a gently rolling inland sea of sand covering most of Botswana and large parts of Namibia and South Africa. It is also the last bastion of the indigenous San people with the modern world having enveloped all the other areas they once roamed. The Namibian portion is made up of red sands covered in thin, wispy, mostly golden grass and dotted with acacia trees and wide-ranging wildlife including gemsbok, impala, jackals and cheetah.

The Kalahari Red Dunes Lodge is located in and around a vlei in the dunes of the western outskirts of the Kalahari. It is here where the vast Karoo desert meets the first red dunes of the Kalahari desert. The small lodge, with its individually and lovingly designed suites, offers high amounts of space and privacy. The new, spacious reception building welcomes the guests. Following a wooden walkway, the main building, with a restaurant and cozy fireplace, bar, attached lounge and the new
“Kalahari Lounge” with a fine selection of whiskey and a pool with a shaded area and
pool loungers, is located in the center of the vlei.

Guests are welcome to explore the Kalahari desert on foot, on the well-signposted network of hiking trails, by bicycle, or on one of the nature drives in the morning or afternoon.
